1) Heart and Small Intestine Meridian Stretching


(1) HeartMeridian
represents compassion and therefore governs emotions and spirits as well as blood circulation and total body circulation and total body via the brain and five senses.
Also functions as the mechanism that adapts external stimuli to the body's interanl environment.

(2) Small Intestine Meridian through displacement and digestion of food, small intestine governs total body. Mental anxiety, emotional excitement, nervous shock and anger can affect blood circulation and small intestine causes blood stagnation which affects the entire body.

 

1) With the soles of the feet together bring your feet towards your body as close as possible.

2) Holding your feet with your hands, place your elbos on your knees and try to touch yuor head to your toes.

 

 



3) Relax completely and take two deep breaths. If your knees do not lie flat on the floor, this indicates malfunctioning of the heart and small intestine meridians.

4) If one side is higher than the other, a problem may exist int those meridian lines on that particular side.

 

Repeat #(3) and #(4) several times so that you could relieve the following symptoms gradually.

Lack of strength in upper part of hara, tightness in the solar plexus area, strong palpitations, pulling sensation in tongue, Anemia due to poor nutrition and digestion, blood stagnation and poor circulation in the hips and legs, stiffness in the cervical vertebrae like morning-stiff, puffiness in eyes and ears, being chilled and hot in the head, etc.

2) Kidney and Bladder Meridian Stretching


(1) Kidney Meridian
controll spirit and energy to the body and governing resistance against mental stress via control of internal hormone secretions. Detoxifies and purifies blood preventing acidosis. Right side between second and third lumbar vertebrae manufactures cortisone. Left side between second and third lumbar vertebrae produces urine by purifying the blood.

(2) Bladder Meridian relates to mid-brain which cooperates with the kidney hormone system and pituitary gland. Also connected to automonic nervous system that is related to reproductive and urinary organs. At the same time it eliminates the final product of body liquid purification--urine.

 

1) Stretch your legs straight out in front of you and touch your toes with your hands.

2) Then bend forward and touch your head to your knees.

 


3) At the maximum stretch point, relax completely and take two deep breaths. Any pain you may feel on one side indicates malfunctioning of the meridians on that side.

 

Repeat several times so that you could relieve the following symptoms gradually.


Puffy skin lacking elasticity, poor circulation in the hips and hara, blackish color in the face, vomiting, blood in the saliva, prone to nose bleeding and fainting, nasal congestion, heaviness and pain in the eyes, migraine headache on back of head, stiff-necked pain in the lower cervical and thoracic vertebrae, heaviness in the back of the head towards the eyes, etc.
